I kick started Easter weekend in Cumbria, staying with some close family friends in the small village, Newbiggin, which has a population of less than 100. I took this as an opportunity to get out and take photographs of the landscapes close by to the countryside house where I was staying. The weather was good, allowing for a good shoot day, so I headed up a nearby hill, walking my dogs and taking photographs. Staying with family friends meant I had a good tour guide to take me to picturesque spots. The Village I stayed in isn’t heavily touristy, meaning I didn’t pass many people on my outing, only a few locals walking. This made for good photos as I wasn’t having to avoid people when taking my photos, which would have changed the mood and aesthetic of my images.
The shoot ended up being successful, and some of the images I took I have decided to exhibit for my final project and use in my photobook.
